SAFE-IR, Inc. conducted the training for the firefighters to educate them in the safe tactical use of thermal imaging. The training included operating procedures under live fire condtions.The training was held at Orange City Fire Academy.

2018 Cedar Grove 911 Ceremony

Cedar Grove Firefighters took part in the Township's 911 ceremony "Cedar Grove Waves" an art installation now entering its fourth year. The installation displays 2,977 flags on the high school lawn in memory of the 9/11 attacks. Additionally the Cedar Grove Board of Education secured a four foot piece of World Trade Center 9/11 steel, pictured above, with the help of the Port Authority PBA and the World Trade Center Memorial Fund for a new memorial.

The Cedar Grove High School Girls Basketball program hosted its 3rd annual Hoops for Hope basketball game against Verona High School Friday, February 16 at Cedar Grove High School.  It was a night of fun and support as the two local schools played to benefit Cedar Grove Firemen Mike Jorn and Stan Crowell. Above Coach Bill Scanlon and Vice Principle Steve Gallagher with the girls basketball team present a check to benefit Mike and Stan at the departments March Meeting.
