I was a member of Center Fire Co. #1 from 1969 to 1974. For the past 20 years I have been legal counsel to Spokane County Fire Districts 4 and 9. Additionally for the past 19 years I have been a volunteer firefighter and EMT for District 9. |

I was a member of Center Co for 7 years and the Rescue Squad for 10. My father in-law Bud Werther was a long time member and former Capt of Center Company. 74 looks like a great piece of equipment. I have a picture on my office wall of Center Co. with old 71 the 1971 Lafrance, Old 74 Mack and the old hand pumper I restored that is in the Boonton Museum. After all these years I still miss Center Co, the Squad and all my old friends. The web site looks good, like to see more pictures. I work for Pasco County Florida and manage the County’s Traffic Operations Division (Traffic Signals, Streetlights Signs and Markings). All the volunteer fire departments here have been absorbed by the paid departments. |
